Public procurement accounts for 12% to over 14% of GDP in many European regions. This immense purchasing power represents a critical lever for environmental change. On 25 June 2026, CE-PRINCE will host a specialized online event titled “Investing in Nature via Circular Green Public Procurement (CGPP)” to explore how public authorities can shift market demand toward nature-based infrastructure, low-carbon materials, and ecological restoration.

Why Focus on CGPP?

Transitioning from voluntary guidelines to mandatory environmental criteria is essential to meeting EU Green Deal objectives. This event will dive into practical solutions for overcoming common procurement hurdles – such as higher upfront costs, lack of administrative expertise, and market greenwashing – by utilizing tools like Life-Cycle Costing (LCC) and verified eco-labels.
